    That's actually incorrect, A single wire goes from negative one twenty to positive one twenty going through zero at the middle, That's why you can use 2 wires 120 and get 240. Because when 1 is 120 negative, the other 1 is 240 positive and then they reverse.

    No inductor, no memristor, SCRs are only one example of thyristors - there are many other kinds, no triode (or higher) vacuum tubes, no digital logic, no analog circuits of even middling complexity, no RF circulator. This has "all" electronic circuits the way IEEE754 has "all" real numbers, which is to say it has almost none of them.

    Just as it says on this videos title: " Just an Opinion." that's all that is it. Since I've spent more time on this then I was supposed to, as I wanted to know is it true or not. And it turned out he (Keason Drawdy) isn't a scammer nor a fouad, when it comes to his seminar at JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY and his non-profit podcast since 2015-on going 291 episodes so far. And RUclips channel with his son that is trans as it seems, don't know if that is his daughter now or not but overall this is the only legitimate conclusion that I was able to draw. And I wanted to share this if anyone was interested to save a bit of someone elses time digging.

    Student here: technically speaking why did you use the 100 W 2 Ohm resistor to perform the test. Feel free to just share a site or link that has the information plus maybe the math i.e (formula)... I'm just starting on this journey and this might help me practically figure things out so I can conduct different experiments safely

    • @RonMattino
      @RonMattino 8 дней назад

      As all of the power supplies were rated at 12v, I chose the 2 Ohm resistor to limit max current at 6 amps. (Ohm's law). If I hadn't used a resistor, this would have been a short circuit and could potentially cause some of the PSUs to fail.

      The 100 W rating is the power dissipation of the resistor. For this circuit is 12 V * 6 A = 72 W, so it’s ok to not break the resistor. The 6 A is like the other comment, the current of 12 V in 2 Ohm resistor

    • @lexeindhoven

    • @RonMattino

      I guess 4.5 volts would probably be okay. Actually, the amperage should not be too low because the phone will need it when activating the transmitter. If it's too low the mobile may fail to start.

    I am willing to bet there is some kind of way to use this in a fuzz guitar pedal.. If I only knew how.

    • @neilbarnett3046
      @neilbarnett3046 14 дней назад

      A guitar fuzz pedal is simply an amplifier. The waveform is amplified massively, maybe 100 times or more, so it would TRY to go way beyond the power supply of the pedal. At this point, the wave will "clip", anything higher than that limit will just be cut straight off, which is the source of the fuzz sound, turning those nice smooth sine waves from your guitar into square waves. A commercial fuzz pedal will probably not do this, it will use fancier electronics, so you can change how much the wave is modified and get a range of effects (for your money). If you look around, there will be "simple fuzz circuits" online and quite possibly in 1970s electronics magazines!

    • @mr.b6789
      @mr.b6789 14 дней назад

      @neilbarnett3046 Thanks. I know what a fuzz circuit looks like, only because I saw some videos made by Josh Scott. But I didn't know the theory behind a transistor. 👍

      @neilbarnett3046 14 дней назад

      No, he's relying on the junction to break down, the transistor is not being used as a transistor at all. A reverse-biased EB junction on a small transistor like that can only stand a few volts. I read the ONsemi spec sheet for 2N2222 and it said 6V, a lot less than the CB junction maximum rating, which is quoted as 75V.

    • @RonMattino
      @RonMattino 12 дней назад

      6V is typical for most NPN transistors, actually, this is why 5v was chosen as standard supply voltage for TTL chips.
